Twenty meters underground in a maze of galleries, visitors will discover an ossuary containing the remains of several million Parisians. This unique site recalls the history of these Parisians and invites visitors to take a timeless journey.

The 1.5 kilometer circuit is one-way only. Entrance at 1, Avenue du Colonel Henri Rol-Tanguy and exit at 21 bis, Avenue René-Coty.

Visiting tips:

• · You will need to pre-book your tickets online.
• · Wear sensible shoes as there are 131 steps to go down and 112 steps to climb up and the floor can be slippery and uneven. It is therefore not wheelchair accessible.
• · Make sure to dress appropriately as the temperature is constantly at 14°C
• · Large bags are not allowed and you will be asked to carry your back by your side or on your front so don't pack it too heavy either.
• · There is a gift shop at the end of the tour if you wish to buy a souvenir.
• · And finally, no eating or drinking in the catacombs and DO NOT touch the bones
